A SAS Metadata Server cluster might encounter quorum issues, which are accompanied by messages similar to the following in the log files of one or more members of the cluster:
2017-12-18T04:25:34,192 ERROR [00000004] :sas - :SAS: INTERNAL ERROR: Attempting to release a non-wrapped journal entry (0x7f205ff5b800).

When you encounter this issue, look for these messages in log files with file names that follow this structure: SAS-configuration-directory/SASMeta/MetadataServer/Logs/SASMeta_MetadataServer_date_hostname_pid.log:
The issue occurs when the master node in the metadata server cluster sends journal updates to the slave nodes in the cluster. A problem occurs when applying the journal entry to the slave node's repository.
The only workaround for this issue is to restart all SAS servers.
